Artemether is an antimalarial drug that targets malaria parasites in the blood. Typically, artemether is used to treat severe malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum. But, it can also be used to manage uncomplicated malaria when oral treatment isn’t an option, offering rapid relief from life-threatening symptoms.
